Landscape Design & Construction in Walpole, MA

Walpole is the northern edge of where we work, roughly twenty-eight minutes from the shop. We take it for design-build projects rather than small jobs — at that distance a half-day mobilisation does not serve anybody well.

The Neponset runs through the middle of town

Walpole is a Neponset River town, and the corridor brings a high water table, wetland systems and a lot of Riverfront Area with it. On properties in that corridor, the drainage design is the project — get the water resolved and the terrace above it is straightforward; skip it and the terrace becomes a very expensive way to relocate a puddle.

A town that already knows what good landscape looks like

Francis William Bird Park in East Walpole was laid out by the Olmsted Brothers in the 1920s and is still one of the best public landscapes in this part of the state. Residents here have that as a reference point whether or not they think about it consciously. It is a useful bar: generous planting, clear circulation, nothing fussy.

Deep, wooded lots with the work at the back

A lot of Walpole parcels run long and narrow with mature trees, which means the interesting part of the property is a long way from the street. Access for machines and materials down the side of a house is the first thing we assess, because it decides both how the job is sequenced and what it costs.

Relevant work

Work that speaks to Walpole ground.

We do not publish a town on a project until we have confirmed it, so nothing below is claimed as being in Walpole. These are our own projects, chosen because they solve the problems Walpole properties actually present. Ask on the site walk and we will tell you exactly where each one is and put you in touch with the homeowner.

Larger design-build terraces and outdoor kitchens — the scale of project that justifies the run north.

Getting to you

28 minutes.

Walpole is about 28 minutes from our Norton shop. That is close enough to commit to a schedule and hold it, and close enough that if something needs looking at we can be there the same day rather than the same week.

We keep the service area to six towns on purpose. A short list is the only honest way to promise a start date.

What clients say

We would rather earn reviews than write them.

There are no testimonials on this page because we do not publish anything a client did not actually say. Our reviews live on Google, where you can read them in full, see who wrote them, and see the ones we would not have chosen.

We would rather show you the work and let you speak to the homeowner. Ask, and we will connect you with one.
