Landscape Design & Construction in Sharon, MA

Sharon is about twenty-five minutes from the shop and it is the most physically demanding town we work in — heavily wooded, steep in places, and sitting on some of the hardest ground in the region.

Rock, and a lot of it

Sharon sits on the granite that forms Moose Hill and runs up into the Blue Hills. Outcrop is common, shallow ledge is normal, and glacial boulders turn up in the middle of otherwise unremarkable back yards. That reshapes design decisions: sometimes the right answer is not to fight an outcrop but to build the terrace up to it and let it be the feature it already is.

Mature woodland means shade, roots and access

A great many Sharon properties are carved out of oak and pine woodland. Three consequences follow. Planting has to be chosen for genuine shade rather than optimistically. Excavation near mature root plates has to be careful if you want the trees to survive it. And equipment access down a wooded drive is frequently the constraint that decides how the job gets built.

Massapoag, Moose Hill and a lot of protected land

Between Lake Massapoag, the Massachusetts Audubon sanctuary at Moose Hill and the wetland systems threaded through town, a high proportion of Sharon parcels sit near a protected resource area. The 100-foot buffer and 200-foot Riverfront Area under the Wetlands Protection Act come up here more often than in most of our service area, so filing timelines belong in the project schedule from the start.

Relevant work

Work that speaks to Sharon ground.

We do not publish a town on a project until we have confirmed it, so nothing below is claimed as being in Sharon. These are our own projects, chosen because they solve the problems Sharon properties actually present. Ask on the site walk and we will tell you exactly where each one is and put you in touch with the homeowner.

Retaining, cut-to-grade terracing and level changes — what a wooded, rocky, sloping Sharon lot needs before anything else can happen.

Getting to you

25 minutes.

Sharon is about 25 minutes from our Norton shop. That is close enough to commit to a schedule and hold it, and close enough that if something needs looking at we can be there the same day rather than the same week.

We keep the service area to six towns on purpose. A short list is the only honest way to promise a start date.

What clients say

We would rather earn reviews than write them.

There are no testimonials on this page because we do not publish anything a client did not actually say. Our reviews live on Google, where you can read them in full, see who wrote them, and see the ones we would not have chosen.

We would rather show you the work and let you speak to the homeowner. Ask, and we will connect you with one.
