Pool & Spa Surround
The brief
A free-form pool with a raised spa, given a paver deck and deep planted borders so the water sits inside a garden rather than in the middle of a lawn.
The site
The deck wraps a curved pool edge, which means every course meets the coping on a radius and gets cut to it. Boulder coping holds the transition between the water and the planted bank behind.
What we built
- Paver pool deck carried around the full pool perimeter and cut to the coping radius
- Raised spa surround with a stone transition to the main deck
- Boulder coping to the planted side
- Deep mixed borders — hydrangea, ornamental grasses, Japanese maple and seasonal annuals
- Stone-edged bed lines separating deck, planting and lawn
