Farmhouse Front Walk & Hedged Beds
The brief
A wide, formal approach to a farmhouse porch, with new hedging set to hold the line of the walk as it establishes.
The site
A generous front lawn with the porch set back from the street, so the walk is wide enough to read at a distance rather than sized as a footpath. Beds on both sides were rebuilt and planted at the same time.
What we built
- Wide paver front walk with a contrasting border course, running to the porch step
- Boxwood hedging set both sides to define the walk edge
- Hydrangea and mixed foundation planting along the house line
- Bed edging cut and mulched to lawn
